Workstations
Open the workstation itself and check its storage slots: finished items go there, not into an extra chest beside the bench. Collect one item at a time or use Take All with T on keyboard or Y on gamepad. If production has stopped, read the station status before replacing anything.

What to do, in order
Interact with the actual Workbench, Weapon Table, Cooking Pot or Stone Oven. The station opens its own view. The old Campfire name was changed to Cooking Pot in the EA announcement.
Read the queue strip: it separates waiting crafts, the item being produced with its progress and time left, and completed items ready to collect. Hover an item for details; right-click a queued item if you want to cancel it.
Look in that station’s storage slots and collect the finished result. Take All defaults to T / gamepad Y. If you changed bindings, use your Loot All binding; Devlog #11 says rebinding also applies at crafting stations.
Read the displayed status, then use the matching check below before you move or rebuild the station.

Status → next action Station status What to check or change Waiting for materials Read the selected recipe and supply the missing input. No fuel Supply fuel to the fuel-using station. Bag full Make room in your carried inventory before collecting. Storage full Collect finished items from the station’s own storage. Watch for progress to resume or the finished item to appear in storage. You do not need an extra chest next to the bench for output storage. A chest can still be useful for settlement supplies; it is not the new destination for station output.
Check the result
The queued craft advances and its finished item can be collected from the station. After taking output, confirm it appears in your carried inventory.
If the bench still will not run
If a bench looks empty, inspect its own output slots rather than searching nearby chests. If Take All does nothing, check available bag space and your current Loot All binding. If required inputs and space are present but the status never changes, preserve the save and report the station name, recipe and shown status.
